     Fred Meyer has had a program for many years that is of benefit to non-profits. Any of their customers who enroll in the program and use the provided Shopper's Card will have a small percentage of their total purchase donated to the non-profit of their choice. A few years ago Fred Meyer was purchased by Kroger and this program has been continued under their ownership. To enroll in the program go  to kroger.com/i/community/community-rewards and follow the instructions to sign up. When signing up, don't forget to designate the Yakima Valley Genealogical Society as your choice of beneficiary. Once signed up, all you have to do to use the program is to use your Shopper's Card when you shop at Fred Meyer or any Kroger store. Once you are signed up, if you don't have your shopper's card readily available, you can still use the program by providing your phone number when checking out.
