     The library and resource center is open to the public free of charge Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The library houses one of the larger collections of genealogical research material on the west coast. Of interest to people doing local research is our large collection of extracted records covering funeral home records, cemetery records, obituaries and school census records. In addition to the large collection of extracted records, the library also has many volumes of city directories, school yearbooks and other volumes covering Yakima County.
